The Disconnect
Every camera on earth is blind.
A camera captures light. That’s it. It doesn’t know what it’s looking at. It doesn’t understand composition. It can’t tell you the historical significance of the building in the viewfinder. It can’t read the Latin inscription on the wall. It doesn’t know that the light falling on your subject’s face follows a Rembrandt triangle or that the composition is 3 pixels off from the golden spiral.
AI can do all of those things. But AI has no eyes. The camera has eyes but no brain. IRIS gives the brain to the eyes.

The IRIS sensor captures the frame. The IRIS Bridge compresses and transmits to Claude via API in under 200ms. Claude analyzes the image — composition, subject identification, lighting quality, historical context, text recognition, φ alignment, emotional tone — and returns intelligence to the photographer through a viewfinder overlay, wireless earpiece, or companion app. The photographer sees what the camera sees AND what Claude sees. At the same time.

Claude analyzes the live frame and overlays golden spiral, golden rectangle, and rule-of-thirds guides. But more than guides — it scores the composition. “Current alignment: 87% φ. Move 3cm left for 94%.” The Divinity Rule applied to every frame. No photographer in history has had this.
Subject Intelligence
Know what you’re looking at.
Point the camera at a building. Claude identifies it, returns the architect, the year, the style, the historical significance. Point it at a plant. Claude returns the species, growth patterns, medicinal uses. Point it at a document. Claude reads it, translates it, summarizes it. The camera becomes an encyclopedia with a shutter button.
Lighting Analysis
Rembrandt. Butterfly. Split. Loop. Named in the viewfinder.
Claude identifies the lighting pattern on the subject’s face and names it. “Current: Rembrandt. Shadow triangle at 94% ideal. Fill ratio: 3:1.” For video: “Light shifting. Butterfly forming. 45 seconds until golden hour ends.” The lighting coach that never blinks.
Emotional Tone
What the image makes people feel.
Claude reads the frame and predicts emotional response: “This composition evokes isolation. The negative space is 61.8% of frame (φ). High melancholy score. If you want warmth, add a human element in the lower-right third.” The camera tells you what the viewer will feel before you press the shutter.
Text & Language
Read. Translate. Transcribe. Live.
Point the camera at any text — signs, documents, inscriptions, handwriting — and Claude reads it live. Translates between languages in real time. Transcribes handwriting. Reads the cuneiform on Hammurabi’s stele. The camera becomes a universal translator.

Video Direction

A small (55mm × 34mm, both Fibonacci) module that mounts to any camera’s hot shoe or attaches to a phone case. Captures the live feed from the sensor, compresses frames using a proprietary φ-aware compression algorithm (preserves detail in golden-ratio zones, compresses less-critical areas more aggressively), and transmits to Claude via WiFi or 5G.
