The History
The red rose that bled for the throne.
The House of Lancaster was established by Edmund Crouchback in 1267, but the royal branch began with John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster. His son Henry Bolingbroke seized the throne in 1399, deposing his cousin Richard II to become Henry IV. His grandson Henry V won Agincourt in 1415 — the greatest English military victory of the medieval period.
Then it fell apart. Henry VI was weak. The Wars of the Roses began — Lancaster (red rose) against York (white rose) for thirty years. The male line ended with Henry VI’s death in 1471. But the blood continued through the Beauforts, and Henry VII (a Lancaster descendant through John of Gaunt) founded the Tudor dynasty.
This is a brand for legacy. Multi-generational strategy. Succession planning. Estate goods. The rose dies. The root survives.
