SCRIBE

The scribes of Alexandria preserved civilization. Google Docs preserves formatting errors.
Scribe is what happens when a document platform is built by someone who writes 12 books, not 12 slide decks.

What’s Broken

Every document platform was built by engineers who don’t write.

Google Docs is a text box with a toolbar. Notion is a database pretending to be a document. Word is a 1985 program wearing a 2024 jacket. None of them understand proportion. None of them care about typography. None of them know that a page has a soul and the soul is in the margins.

The monks who copied the Bible by hand understood page proportion. They used the Van de Graaf canon — a system of margins derived from the page’s own geometry. The result was documents that felt right in the hand and right in the eye. That knowledge has been lost to software that lets you set margins to “Normal” or “Narrow.”

The Platform

A document platform built on the mathematics of the page.

φ-Proportioned Layouts
Every page is governed by the golden ratio.
Margins, column widths, header spacing, footer placement — all derived from φ. You don’t set margins in inches. You choose a proportion and the page builds itself. The Van de Graaf canon, the Villard diagram, the Tschichold canon — all available as layout systems. The document looks right because it IS right.
Sacred Typography
Type scales derived from musical harmony.
Font sizes follow a modular scale based on φ. Body at 16px. H3 at 16 × 1.618 = 25.9px. H2 at 41.9px. H1 at 67.8px. The hierarchy isn’t arbitrary — it’s harmonic. Line heights at 1.618. Paragraph spacing at Fibonacci intervals. The text breathes because it’s proportioned to breathe.
Lundr.ai Writing
AI that writes with you, not for you.
Lundr.ai lives inside Scribe. It doesn’t generate content on command. It reads what you’ve written and offers: “This paragraph is 40% longer than the others — is that intentional?” “Your argument peaks in paragraph 3 but your strongest evidence is in paragraph 7 — consider reordering.” The AI serves the writer’s intent, not the platform’s engagement.
The Seal Integration
Sign documents inside the platform they were created in.
When a document is ready to sign, The Seal activates. The four locks engage. The challenge questions generate from the document’s contents. The hash is created. The chain links. No export to DocuSign. No third-party integration. Create, write, sign — one platform. One seal.
Version Archaeology
Not version history. Version archaeology.
Every version is preserved with full context: what changed, who changed it, why they changed it (the editor writes a one-sentence reason), and what the document looked like before and after. Google Docs shows you a timeline. Scribe shows you the excavation. You can dig through layers of intent.
Export Everything
PDF, DOCX, HTML, Markdown, LaTeX, EPUB.
One document. Every format. The φ-proportioned layout translates perfectly to print (PDF), to Word (DOCX), to web (HTML), to technical writing (LaTeX), and to books (EPUB). Write once. Publish everywhere. The proportion carries across formats because proportion is format-independent.
The Vault Integration
Save to the Lundr Vault. Pull from the Vault.
Every document created in Scribe can be pushed to the Lundr Vault (Invention #72). Pull documents from prior sessions. Push updates back. The Vault is the file system. Scribe is the writing surface. The Seal is the lock. Three inventions that compose into one system.
Collaboration Without Performance
Work together. No comment theater.
Comments are private by default between the commenter and the author. No “tagging” for visibility. No public comment threads that become arguments. If a comment needs to be seen by others, the author promotes it. The default is discretion. The exception is broadcast. The opposite of every platform built by engineers who think transparency means surveillance.
The System

Three inventions. One system.
