The
Harmony
Rule.
Pythagoras discovered that the intervals between musical notes that sound harmonious are simple integer ratios. An octave is 2:1. A perfect fifth is 3:2. A perfect fourth is 4:3. These same ratios govern proportion in design. The Harmony Rule applies the mathematics of music to visual composition, brand voice, and structural rhythm.

What the harmony means.
How we apply it.
The Harmony Rule governs our type scales, spacing systems, and color relationships. A design built on harmonic ratios resonates before it is consciously understood. The client says I don't know why, but this feels right. That feeling is mathematics.
